I remember Buddy as a lifeguard in the '50s, when I was a kid on Wilson Lane, next door to Harry Winslow's house. Later, after I grew up in the '60s, I served under Buddy when he was Captain of the entire TOB North Shore crew. He brought many of us up through the lifeguard program that is successful to this day. I don't know about his work elsewhere, but on the beaches of Bayville, Seacliff and Oyster Bay (Sound-side) he left his mark that will endure long after we all join him wherever he is.

Mr Winslow was my elementary school gym teacher in the 70's. Always told me stories about the Brooklyn Dodgers. Still remember the gym show and that song he always played - Go you chicken fat go!

May love and peace surround you all at this time of transition in your lives. Your dad was a very special and wonderful man indeed and I am honored to have had our paths cross now and then. I know He and your mom are together and your mothers beautiful laugh and smile will now echo once again with your dads'. Their spirit will continue in all of you and the world will still be blessed with the love and laughter of the Winslows. What wonderful parents you are blessed to call your own. With Love and sympathy as well as joy rising in the spirit of Bud. May God Bless you all and keep you in the palm of his hand. Much Love,
John & Joanne McGhee
