I will always remember Dr. Howard as being a person who was easy to talk to and that I learned so much from his knowledge that he acquired over his vast career in the field of education. It was a blessing to have meet him and know him as a person. Rest In Peace, Dr. Howard.

My deepest condolences to the Howard family in the passing of Dr. Howard. I worked with him at Area III and in other situations involving Minority Student Achievement. He made great contributions to Fairfax County and he will be missed.

Dr. Howard was a very intelligent, kind, caring and encouraging individual. When I first met him, I liked him and Iris's mother, Bernice. I truly appreciate how Dr. Howard shared with me, My daughter, Michelle, and my granddaughter, Maya on many occasions the important of education. Dr. Howard was not just a person who talks, but a person of action. I admired him deeply and I will truly miss him; my family will miss him too. Dr. Howard was a gem of a person, a very approachable genuine educationist, Prof. / Dean of Ed/ and a efficacious Provost, VPAA Coppin State “College”.
