Not sure what to say?

Rest in Peace. I remember feeling such peace in your home. Thank you for sharing many wonderful stories and pictures with me about your business and days gone by in A.C. of which I had experienced the tail-end of those times. Mr. Solof and Elayne were so kind to me, and I always felt welcomed in that home. I could tell that Mr. Solof was truly a good soul, accepting all people, no matter how different from him. Robin Callender, A.C. Caretaker for Mrs. Solof

Herman and Rose were members of The Clamdiggers Camping Club for many years and we all loved them both. We miss Rose and now will miss Herman. May he rest in peace. Betty Chambers.

Herman was one of a kind. I met HY and his sweet wife Rose in 1965 when I visited their home with their son and my buddy Allen. They both were so endearing. When Rose was baking for Beth Judah Synagogue, Allen, Harvey Needles,Gary Slocum and I would sneak in to their kitchen and eat Rose´s freshly baked goods. Hy was so proud of his fish tank. I have such wonderful memories of Hy and Rose. Everyone was welcomed into their warm home. Two great people are gone but their memories live on. Paul...

My condolences on the loss of a wonderful member of our community, who gave so much to so many, and with whom (and Rose) I have lifelong memories.

Hy was a leader at Beth Judah. I remember him as faithfully transporting in a jitney the kids from the Mainland, including our boys, back and forth to Hebrew school. They were in good hands. May his memory be a blessing. D
