Hilda Allman Obituary
MOORESVILLE - Mrs. Hilda Lee Stamey Allman, 84, of Mooresville, surrounded by her family, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Tucker Hospice House.
Born on March 21, 1929, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Jennie Wallace Stamey. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Allman retired from Cannon Mills, having worked in the winder room. She loved to grow flowers and to watch her birds and animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Ralph Calvin Allman, on May 14, 1990; her son, Michael Lee Allman; and granddaughter Carry Jayne Allman.
Those left to cherish her memory are sons Danny Allman (Brenda) of Kannapolis, Larry Allman (Peggy) of Fayetteville, and Terry Allman of Mooresville; daughters Linda Allman of Mooresville, Judy Gwaltney of Kannapolis, Wanda McClamrock (Robert) of Kannapolis, and Sandra Hearne (Randy) of China Grove. Also surviving her are her brother, Harold Stamey of Kannapolis; and sisters Elaine Beaver of Kannapolis and Brenda Stamey of Landis. She had 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Service: Visitation is Friday from 12 to 2 p.m. at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Brooks, minister. Burial will follow at West Corinth Baptist Church, Corinth Church Road in Mooresville.
Memorials: May be made to Tucker Hospice House. 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is serving the Allman family.

I am lighting this candle in memory of my sweet Aunt Hilda. May the peace of our God warm the hearts of all the family who loved her. She truly will be missed. My prayers will be lifting up her children because of the loss of their mother and to the brother and sisters for the loss of their sibling. May God bless you all.
