My condolences to all the family and especially to Polly. Howie and I met only a few times, but I well remember his graciousness and warmth, and also his fine collection of model planes.

A true honor to have known and worked with "Captain Howie" through the years at the Pima Air & Space museum as a docent. I know he'll have many happy landings at his new and higher station. I'll look for you, Capt. Howie before too long. Thank you for that noble WW2 service that let me and my family live free. You'll always be a hero to me.

Oh, my! I'll remember his spirit & his hi-jinks with my uncle & "godfodder" Bud Coats. I'll remember him & Bonnie as happy cohorts of my parents & as one of the taken for granted constellations in my childhood world. I'll remember the sweet love & tenderness between him & Polly. So dear to my heart!
