Not sure what to say?

Howie lived life to the fullest and was always somebody good to talk to when I was down and out. He may of had his own demons to deal with but, he was always upbeat and optimistic. He was accepting of anyone and could make anybody laugh. I wish I could go back in time and work one more night at the 18th Amendment with him and everyone else that was there. Those were good times and great memories that I will always cherish. There are people whom I can't wait to see when my time comes and...

Jerry and Andy,
I was so shocked and sad to hear of Howie's passing. He will be missed but never forgotten. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with the both of you during this difficult time.
I know he has found his special place in heaven with Mari and Dorothy and he is smiling down on you right now.
Rest in Peace our forever friend.
Debbie, Jeff and Ashley Roe

I remember Howie as one of the really popular people in High School, but he never acted like it, he was everyone's friend and it is obvious that carried on throughout his life.

I went into the Fedora Lounge tonight and had a drink in Howie's memory. I only wish I'd gotten to see him behind the bar instead of his picture.

Jerry and Andy, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your and our precious loss. We were fortunate to meet Howie once. Full of life and vigor. Howie Thanked me for giving him life and told me, if I never seen him again, not to worry about him because he was always taken good care of. Our miss is a deep-one and always will be. Our Prayers for Peace and Blessings to all Howie's families and friends. With All our Love,

Peace prayers and blessings to all of the familys connected to Howie. I was able to meet this exceptional man just a few times,I could sense the kind, happy person he was. Words cannot express the great sorrow I feel for all concerned. May your memories of Howie give you strength and comfort during this time.Prayer works!

I was shocked and sorry to hear about Howie's passing. I met Howie through a mutual friend Amber Camacho. He was so nice and smiley and just a fun person to be around. I know he will be missed and was loved by all. My prayers and sympathy is with his family and friends. Lupe R.

I am so sorry to hear of Howie's passing. We met in High School, even though we attended Holdrege High, we formed a wonderful friendship with Howie. He would come to Holdrege and hang out with all of us.
When I hear his name I always think of that beaming smile on his face.
When his mother passed away a few years ago he started visiting Holdrege pretty regularly and we were able to spend more time with Howie again during that time. I am so thankful for that and all the wonderful...

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I haven’t seen Howie since we were about 19 years old, but I grew up in Holdrege and used to spend time with him and Mike Wiser, cruising 4th Avenue, going to street dances, just wasting time having fun... I don’t think I ever saw Howie mad and his smile could light up the night. He was a perfect example of someone who never let his popularity, looks and athletic abilities go to his head. He was a sweetheart to everyone, and I especially remember how I...

I bet Mari couldn't wait to jump into Howie's arms last Sunday morning. She always looked at her big brother with such love and admiration. I remember Howie as the "super-star" of the high school- how a little kid perceives the most popular, well-liked guy!
Our prayers and thoughts are with you Jerry, Andy and family in another time of sorrow for your family.
