Howard B. Eskin

Rosemary, I still have your beloved husband in my thoughts and miss his sage advice and attitude about life and its trials and tribulations. I sadly I didn't realize that Howard was such an important part of my life until, sadly, he was gone. God bless you and be well. Jim Madairy

What a sad day this one, now that I have read about Howard's passing. Some voice inside me wanted me to google his name today... Howard was my first and ever mentor growing up. I have spent my first no-parent holiday with him when he took me up to Montana for some flyfishing. I can truly say that this trip has opened my eyes in many ways. The wooden sign of Red Rock Kreek, which he had stolen from the roadside especially for me, is still a strong memory of those days. I will never forget him....

Howard was my closest ADP friend and business associate. He always gave me sage advice and counsel...even when I didn't want it. We kept in touch after retirement and had many internet sessions on a wide range of subjects. I have spoken of Howard to my friends many times about this "Renaissance" man that I had the distinct pleasure to know and work with for many years. My deepest sympathy goes out to Rosemary and the Eskin family.

Howard was not only my father's best friend, he was a true friend to each and every member of our family. I especially remember the Thanksgiving celebrations our two families shared. God Bless!

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Howard. I have such wonderful memories of Howard from our fly fishing trips in Alaska. He made those trips a special experience for me and my son, Michael. Howard would wake us each morning with his singing and laughter. He shared his many stories and would work with Michael each evening on his fly tying skills. I didn't know Howard well, but I do recall very clearly the one and only time I met him. It was the morning of February 26th, 2011 and we crossed paths at Green Lane Reservoir in Montgomery Co., PA. Howard literally took me on a wild goose chase...one with a happy ending. I was a relative novice MD birder/bird photographer at the time, and had made the two plus hour drive from MD to try to get a look at my first ever Barnacle Goose. I "met" Howard online re his bird photos, which I really admired. We corresponded occasionally about his pics. Wish I had met the man in person. Condolences to his entire family. His loss will certainly be felt among the birding community.

My condolences and prayers are with Rosemarie and the entire Eskin family. I was one of Howard's 'kids' at ADP on Long Island. I managed two departments at once when he was my GM, he always joked that he knew how to get the most out of us. He 'grew' many leaders in his day, back when it was fun. I have many fond memories of those days. He was an amazing person. I was very sad to hear that he has passed. May your memories console you at this difficult time. I'm sure there are many...
