"Uncle" Howard was always a part of my Valley family due to the lifelong friendship of my grandparents, Seth & Cordelia Grimes, with Howard´s parents, Clyde & Maggie Havens, all who were members of a pinochle club which lasted for over half a century.My memories of Uncle Howard all involve his prancing & joking He was like a court jester always entertaining & laughing; perhaps the reason for his longevity. My dear Grama always told the story of Howard as a 14 yr old boy during WWII...
