Gail,
It was my fortune to know Howard during the time I was employed at Buffalo State. He was a class guy and I always enjoyed our
relationship through the Athletics Department at State. It was how I learned that my first principal, Ruth Williams, was your aunt.

I was a freshman at Buff State in 1964. Passing swimming was a requirement for graduation. I was then, and am now, a poor swimmer. Mr. Myers told me "I will get you to pass." He told me that I only had swim the length of the pool once. He said that I could hug the side and if I started to drown, he would jump in and rescue me. He worked with me one on one many days.
