Read MoreI have seen Mr Mims at Johnny K for years and my in laws loved talking with him as well as my father who eats there once a week. I never knew he grew up in Derita as my Uncle Walter Savage was also from there and this would have given us more to talk about. Our thoughts are with you all.

So sorry to hear about Howard. I met him about 40 years ago when he sang with The Gospel Four. We used to play their albums on WHVN.

Becky and johnny I am so sorry this makes me so sad I have always loved my uncle Howard there are a lot of fun memories we all had growing up together he will always be in my heart he is now in heaven singing and once again holding your mom close I sure him and daddy are talking away love you all
