Rest in Peace Howard

... Father's Day 2023

Thanks for the memories! How appropriate on Fatgers Day 2023!

Rest in Peace Smiling, as always, Howard

I knew Howard 60 years ago. His family lived across the street from my grandparents, the Carlson’s, in Mt. Rainer Maryland. His father worked at the Government Printing Office with my grandfather. When I would visit my grandparents, I sought out Howard as soon as I arrived. We had great fun pretending all kinds of adventures, using an old shack on the property as a clubhouse. He was funny, energetic, imaginative and entertaining. I lost track as we both moved on to high school, but heard...

I met Howard in High School. We connected with our love of performance cars. He had a maroon 64 GTO and I had a silver 55 chevy. We lost touch after graduation but I was aware of his success in the Frederick area home construction market as I too made a career in the construction industry. We saw each other briefly at our 50th Class reunion in 2018. His passing came as a great shock. My condolences to his Family and friends.

Howard Payne was a friend from my days at Mt Rainier Junior High School. Enjoying life and having laughs, we had fun in those days. May he rest in peace.
