Howard E. Richards "Bud"

Lansing

Age 76, our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle passed away May 7, 2015.  Born December 21, 1938 in Lansing, MI.  Bud retired from General Motors as an electrician after many years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a 50 years member of I.B.E.W.   He enjoyed traveling, camping, color tours, and visiting Michigan lighthouses.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Shirley A. (Morrow) Richards; 2 children Steven (Margaret) Richards, and Ellen Morrison; 3 grandchildren Adam and Morgan Richards, and Nolen Morrison; 4 step-sons, Robert (Fiancée, Chris) Randall, Wm Scott (Valerie) Randall, Richard H. Randall, and David (Nina) Randall; and 10 step-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Donna Schalla, and Joelene (William) Wellman; 2 nieces and 1 nephew;  sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Harvey Hoerner.  Bud was preceded in death by his parents., Howard W. and Bernita C. (Bauer) Richards; and brother-in-law, Richard Schalla.

Visitation is from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Tuesday with services 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 13, in the Tiffany Funeral Home, 3232 W. Saginaw, Lansing with Pastor Joseph Spackman officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Delta Twp. with military honors by the Morley Oates V.F.W. Post 701 Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation or the Delta Mills United Methodist Church in memory of Bud.  The family wishes to thank the staff of StoryPoint including Julie, Josh, and Leanna, for their care of Howard.
