I was saddened to read of Dr. Shapiro's death. He was my OB/GYN for over 30 years. His wit and political insites were refreshing topics of conversation on my visits.

My deepest sympathies to Dr Shapiro's family. I worked with Dr. Shapiro at Norwalk Hospital in the Labor and Delivery Unit. He was a great doctor and a great person. The world will be a sadder place without him.

Dr Shapiro has been well known to myself and my sisters for years. He was my ob-gyn with my first daughter, Sarah, who is now 14. I've known Howard since I was about 18...a wonderfully funny, kind hearted and sincere physician!!!
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow.
