Humphrey Maris

Humphrey was a wonderful colleague of mine for about twenty year since I joined the physics faculty at Brown in 2003. In fact, he chaired a faculty search in 2002, which led to my being hired! It was also remarkable to me upon reflection that we had several more years of happy and frequent interaction even after his "official" retirement.
