Ian Robert DALTON

Ian was an interesting and methodical guy. I lived across the street from Ian for several years. When Ian was in his late seventies, I would often go and help him shovel snow which had to be done exactly his way. Ian was an amazing repairman. He fixed an old clothing steam press of his mother's, repaired and finished an old round wooden mirror that had been in his family for years and remodelled the little bathroom off the kitchen. I remember Ian's dry sense of humour, especially during the 3 pm coffee breaks in the EE/Civil Galbraith common room. I also remember the stories about the Departmental picnic at the Dalton farm, but alas I joined the Department too late.
