Not sure what to say?

I'm sad for the passing of Ian. I will always remember his smile and enthusiasm at the track. I was just getting back into track driving in the early 2000s and I got into BMW Club racing. I have 2 two vivid memories that made a 'connection' with Ian. One was at Lime Rock Park and I was trying to stick with him on No Name Straight (PL Newman Straight). We were in E30 M3s. Ian went around another car in front, and as he approached the uphill, he was totally out of shape. He must have been close...

My husband, Pete Argetsinger, loved Ian Prout.

I'm sorry to add that Pete passed away in February as well.
So much sadness.

Dear Ian,

I wish I had known you for you were an amazing human being. I do though know you through Ashley with whom I have connected. We share an unfortunate bond of loss but together we are stronger and feel your spirit and that of my brother Bruce who left this earthly plane when he was just 22. The pain endures but so does the spirit which is forever..Rest in Peace.....

So sorry to hear about Ian's passing. I raced with Ian years ago in Formula Ford and Formula Conential in the SCCA and mostly at Lime Rock and Summit Point. RIP brother Racer

A great fellow alum from H.S., Ian was quick to step-up and help me support U.S. schools via Stokes Foundation. He put our website on the trunk of his ride and we discussed charity racing events down the road. Sadly, his energy is no longer here but hopefully we can all, in our own way, honor his memory by caring about others and stepping up to serve.

Dear Ann and Bill,
I am so sorry about Ian. He was such an adorable and special little boy. It was a joy to see him, Ashley and Tonya play up on Budney Hill. I still have pictures of the kids together.
My heart goes out to you both and Ashley and your family.
Sincerely, Sandy Tollefsen Lemley

We are so saddened to learn of Ian's passing and trust that he has found peace, now in the presence of his God. I met Ian through his SCDA organization and instantly found him to be a great person. Beyond his love of racing and his skill, he was very kind and personable. Despite my novice driver skills, he always had a few words of encouragement and guidance for me. He was also very warm and welcoming to my daughter, who came with me on a few SCDA track days. Our prayers are with Ian and...

Born with his Dad's love of all things race car!

A wonderful person.

RIP and run some PB's at your choice of track in the sky, Ian.

I am so saddened to hear about Ian only last night our thoughts and prayers go out to his family - he was such a great person friend driver - I'm really just having trouble absorbing this sad news - Godspeed Ian
