Mrs. Taylor and her husband were dear friends with my parents -- Lawrenceville, Virginia and St. Paul's College were the common denominator. And of course Angie and I grew up together with the common thread of Metropolitan Baptist between all of us.
Mrs. Taylor was also a dedicated soror of Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha. My mother sponsored her into the sorority, and she, E.E. Bernice Mills and Queen kept things going as dedicated members and volunteers! I can just imagine...
