I only really knew Ira thru the DJ business. We have been running into each other for many years at hotels and other venues doing our work for parties. We also got to see and visit with each other at DJ seminars and other DJ gatherings around town through the years. I was so shocked to hear of this wonderful man's passing. He was a true professional and one heck of a nice guy. Please accept the heartfelt condolences to his family from The Greater Houston Mobile Music Assn as a group and from...

P, I cannot tell you how much you made me laugh. I too, was among those you introduced yourself to on my very first day at SHSU. I remember hiding you in my dorm room while you were pledging and hanging out at the student center (we really were studying). My heart goes out to your family. We will miss you here but your spirit will live on forever in the memories of your classmates, family and aquaintances. God bless your family. We will meet again, my friend.

My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I was so sadden by the news of Uncle Pete passing. He has brought laughter to so many of us. I have not seem Pete in years, but the last time I saw him, he had me in tears laughing so. Thats the way I will always remember him. A pure joy to be around.

We went to lunch Monday through Friday, and I am sure if we worked on weekends we would have went together then too. You touched many lives and I am so glad my life had been touched by your grace. We laughed, we talked, and life around you was never boring. I wish your family well and hope they know they can call anytime and I will be there. Your in a better place now and but you will truely be missed.

Sam Houston would not have been as much fun without Uncle Pete. He was one of a kind, and will be miss by all that knew him. He was loved dearly by the many students he touched over the years. It is truly sad to think I will never again hear him call me "Harvey Wall Banger". Always look to the hills for help from the great God above.
