Irene was a valued colleague of mine at Ryerson for many years. I always enjoyed her wit. My condolences to Paul.

I hired Irene as she completed her Ph.D. She was as enthusiastic about her new teaching career and working in academia and Concordia as she was when she was later appointed Associate Dean six years later. She was missed when she moved to Toronto and will be missed by those who knew her and appreciated her charm, warmth and commitment. May she rest in peace. Steven...

Irene and I were in a group together as teenagers and I have fond memories that go back quite a long way. I would like to offer my condolences to her entire family with the hope that many happy memories will sustain you.

I suspect some of Irene's happiest moments were at the bridge table. She will be greatly missed by myself and many other bridge players for whom she always had a ready smile. Rest in peace Irene.
