Not sure what to say?

I will never forget Aunt Iris and will always treasure all our time spent together. She is truly the best person I have ever known.

I am still passing along your wise words and expressions to my children and my new young friends and thinking of you with every word. As my daughter prepares for her wedding its me sitting where you sat over 30 years ago watching the fashion show of wedding dresses and wishing you were sitting next to me.

You were more than a mother to me you were my best friend. I miss you everyday, I miss talking to you, I miss your voice, I miss shopping with you, nobody could ever replace you...

Back in Belleville on Linden Ave. , Iris resonated an eggy ora ...a good Scottish woman.

She had an aroma of kindness....eggy

Special and one-of-a kind.

In the lost 5 years that My 5 years that Me and My 2 children where fortunately lucky enough to briefly know Iris,& that the times that we did get to share with Iris where of found memories delightful conversation of interesting topics, some of events that happened in Iris's life. Some where serious some where funny as Iris would tell you her stories it was as if You where being transported throw her own Iris, like a portal & "Now" You to could see the events unfolding right before You as...

I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful woman on a couple visits to her son's office. Her smile alone lightened the room; My deepest condolences to Ken and his family; you are in my prayers!

Iris was a second grandma to my children. She was known to us as "Grandma Iris" even though we weren't exactly related! I remember her being interested in helping people get ahead in the world or just cope with difficulty. She was also fearless. Not too much daunted her. Her family and her memories of growing up in Scotland was precious to her. She will be missed but not forgotten. Her laughter, twinkling eyes and Scottish accent still ring in my ears. Rest in peace Iris.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I will keep her in my prayers.

Iris and I met when I began my first job after high school. She was my mentor, but we quickly became good friends. Our first of many shopping outings was to pick out my wedding gown. She taught me so many things from where to shop for shoes (L&T have the best) to her must famous advice, what's for you won't go past you;" which my children will tell you is now my line. Our favorite place to go together was the Freehold Race Track for the simulcasting. Our bets were small but the fun we had...
