I forgot to mention that the ringtone on my cell plays The Miami Beach Rhumba, so that anyone who calls me, gets to hear "Irving"playing the song", and that is my way of keeping his memory alive.

Please accept my condolences may God's love comfort you during your time of sorrow
Isa 61:1,2.

I'm very heartbroken because my very dear friend Irving has passed. Irving, I'll always treasure your friendship and the wonderful memories I have of playing my violin with you many times at Nino's. Ruth, my very deepest and heartfelt condolences and comfort to you and your family. Sending you my prayers and love and healing thoughts.

Irving Fields was an amazing performer. My husband Don and I loved going to Nino Tuscany hoping Irving would be there to play the piano and sing. He is playing the piano in heaven now..... what a wonderful man!!

A great man has left us, but his music lives on, as does his memory, because rememberance never dies.

I am so delighted to have met Irving; so sweet, kind and a wonderful human being. My condolences to his family. What a legacy!

To Ruth and family and friends of Irving Fields,
This poem is based on the song "After the Ball is Over" from Showboat. It is my Memorial Tribute to Irving Fields :
"After this all is over, after the guests are gone, after the waiters start leaving, after the stars are gone, many a heart is aching for Mr. Fields music they recall, yes how has a century plus vanished knowing Irving has seen it all! We know it's not really over, we know it's not really gone, though this ball may be over...

You'll never... ever be forgotten!

A great man, performer, composer, personality and most of all wonderful family patriarch. May he forever rest in peace for a life well lived. ZTL
