Not sure what to say?

Alan Wambold to whom I was married 1969-2008 thought George was totally marvelous. I agreed with Alan. George was a marvelous host who could show outstanding hospitality. His home was open so often. He provided wonderful memories.

George Recant has been one of my heroes. He had an extraordinary family. Ethel, his first wife, was one of my best friends. His second wife, Marie, was dear to me also. Mike, Bruce, and Wendy, his children by Ethel, are bright, witty, super intelligent, and enormously talented. George did amazing work; he was an engineer for NASA. He was generous and kind. He was the very sort of person I would choose to be a hero. The world has lost a great soul and I feel sorrow for George's family.

Dear Wendy, Bruce and Mike, I was so sorry to read of your Dad passing. Memories of good times in Sherwood Park and Preston came rushing back. He had a great, long life and you were blessed.

I only spent one afternoon with George, but he changed my life. He leaves a void that can never be filled. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you all.

Mr.Recant was one of my first supervisors when I came to work at NACA in 1944 - first at the Atmospheric Wind Tunnel (AWT)and later at the Unitary Wind Tunnel (UPWT). He was a big help to me in getting me started ib a career of aerodynamic research.

All of the priests and staff at Saint Agnes Parish, Arlington, VA, are united with you in spirit as you mourn the loss of your precious George. May he rest in peace. Our prayers are with you at this difficult time. Savor the memories that you share over these days. Surely you have many memorable stories to tell!
With heartfelt sympathy,
All at St. Agnes

Wendy, Bruce, and Mike:
Please accept my sincere sympathy in the loss of your wonderful father, George. I remember them well. Blessings to the Recant family. Penney
