Born to Anthony and Lourdes Sanchez. He attended Silver Creek High School. Izzy was an accomplished wrestler, most notably he won the 2002 National Title in Oklahoma. Izzy was the 2011 CCS Champion and 2011 Stateplacer. He is survived by his parents, Lourdes and Anthony Sanchez; his sisters, Stephanie and Alina; his grandparents, Ross and Guadalupe Sanchez and Eliseo and Maria Acosta; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation to be held 02/06/12 at 3:00pm at Oak Hill Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held 02/06/12 at 7:00pm at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. A funeral service will be held 02/07/12 at 11:00am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

Anthony, it's hard to even comprehend the loss of your son. My prayers are with you at this time of need. I remember, at the Christmas Party, you sharing about your son, and his outstanding wrestling skills. It was very clear how proud you are of him, and how much you love him. Expressing my sorrow at your loss seems terribly inadequate. Just know that my wife and I are, and will, continue to pray for you and your family. It greatly pained me that I could not attend the services, since I was in San Diego until this morning, visiting my only son. Please forgive me, my brother. May the comforting Hand of the Lord be with you.

First off i want to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Ismael"Izzy" Sanchez.At first i wasnt sure about writing in the guest book at all because i didnt know Ismael at all. I just happened to be in Evergreen park walking my dog on the day of the accident and remember feeling sad for the person and the family and to let them know he was not alone.Myself and others who did not know him prayed for him and his family members.Unfortunately i lost my brother to cancer this past june and feel their sorrow! We both attended Silver Creek High too! I hope im not intruding but just wanted the family to know that even someone who never knew him feels their pain and sorrow too.
