Not sure what to say?

Hi everyone,
Carol and I felt sad that we were not able to be with you for the viewing or the funeral, but we want you to know how much we love you and have appreciated our friendship through the years. Years spent in Dental School with Scott and Cathy were great memories and time together at the dental office will always be cherished memories for a young dentist getting started. Our prayers, condolences and best wishes to you all at this time. Time is a great healer but the loss of...

Many sons and husbands and dads and grandpas and brothers and uncles earn love and respect from everybody but very few do it so skillfully as my uncle Ivan. I say skillfully but I really mean “naturally” as it has come so easily to him. All the roles he willingly took upon himself and mastered will bless him forever. And we, the family and friends are and remain the beneficiaries.

I for one look forward to the grandpa Hope reunions we will hold through the eternities and I know that...

We were saddened by the Passing of Bishop Hope, He was a most amazing man, so kind and gentle and wise. Ivan was the Bishop of my youth, and was always an inspiration to me, one of a handful of individuals that I wanted to pattern my life after. May the Lord Bless and comfort his wonderful family. With Love and great respect.

Marilyn I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Ivan and you for your kindness shown to me. You are wonderful and I hope you will find peace and comfort at this time. Know of our love to you and the boys at this time.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. My heart goes out to you at this time. Please call at any time.

Dearest Marilyn, Scott, Matthew, and Greg. Please accept my most sincere apologies for the passing of Ivan. My deepest sympathies, prayers, and love are with you at this time. The time I had to meet, talk with, and get to know Ivan made it clear that he was (and still is) a very special man. I pray that you may all find peace and healing in time to come. My prayers are with you and blessings all the more. God be with you all.

Dear Hope Family:

Our hearts are with you during this time of grief. I remember visiting your house many times and seeing you there. Although we are far away and cannot attend the services, we send to you are deepest condolences.

I want to let you know what a great man Ivan was. I grew up with him in my ward. He was a great example to me and my favorite bishop. He was always there and seem to have the right thing to say to a troubled teenager. He will be greatly missed.

Marilyn you are in our thoughts as you deal with the lost of a wonderful person. Thank you for the great example that you both have been to our family.
