Jack James Huston, 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2011, while in hospice care at a local hospice. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Community Hospice of Texas at 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76102 or Richland Hills United Methodist Church, 7301 Glenview Drive, Richland Hills, Texas 76180 in Jack's name. Jack was born in Fort Worth on Jan. 11, 1931, to Charlie Everett and Amy Bernice Huston. Jack graduated from Carter-Riverside High School in 1949 and North Texas State University in 1963. Jack enjoyed a productive career at Rock Island Railroad and later as an entrepreneur. Jack was an avid baseball fan who also enjoyed playing golf and attending The University of North Texas football games. Survivors: Brothers, Charlie Huston of Atlanta, Ga., Tom Huston of Weatherford; sons, Charles Huston and wife, Janet, of Fort Worth, Terry Huston and wife, Susan, of Fort Worth and Jack Huston Jr. and wife, Deanna, of San Antonio; grandchildren, Cristen Martin, Jordan Huston, Eric Huston, Jessica Huston, Sche Lynn Huston and Logan Huston; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
