Jack Anthony Malbrough

1942 - 2021

Jack Anthony Malbrough passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born on January 9, 1942 and was a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ettienne Malbrough and Frances Calcagno and his son, Jack Malbrough Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Michelle Marcev Malbrough, his sons, Tony Malbrough (Darlene), Ricky Malbrough, and Jason Malbrough (Mary), his daughters, Debbie Callahan (Tim), Donna Kopp (David), Kathy Bullock (David), Ashley Miller (Paul), and Jackie Freeman (Dougie), and his sister, Sylvia Malbrough Mixon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Joey, Jamie, TJ, Amber, Jessie, Chelsea, Dustin, Kayli, Justin, Serenity, Paul Jr., Brandon, Britney, Jordan, Gianna, Jason Jr., Grace, Jacob, Stella, Dougie Jr., Madisyn, and Alyssa, 17 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and his best friend, Dominic Restivo. Jack graduated from St. Aloysius High School and worked for the Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Metairie, LA 70006. Visitation will be held from 11AM – 1PM with a memorial Mass to begin at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
