Thank you all for your kind words, your cards, your presence, and your thoughts. We all will miss my dad. After attending his wake on the 26th, I realized that my dad was really the first black mayor of Monticello. To see so many people come out to show their respects and love for my dad. My dad is in heaven now with his 2 other brothers and his mother and father. The Butler family would like to thank everyone for their kind words during this hard time. Our Daddy was a kind man with a kind heart and a big smile. Daddy is no longer in pain and wouldnt want to come back to this earth to suffer. Our hearts are broken but his memory will live on in his kids. My condolences to the Butler Family. I will always remember Jackie Sr. calling me "Bambino" when ever he saw me at the Concord when I would go there with my parents as a child. He saw me grow up. My dad Ruben has alot of fond memories of Jackie Sr. and was truly saddened by the news of his passing.
