Jackie Dean Morrison July 8, 1954 - March 8, 2009 COLUMBUS, GA — Jackie Dean Morrison, age 54, resident of Columbus, died on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled at the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, 4 p.m. with Reverend Rod Hargraves and Reverend Terry Robbins officiating.  Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be the five brothers and best friends, Bobby Murdock, Andy Wangle, and Rudy Boutwell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mr. Morrison, son of Rosie Mae Crawford Morrison and the late Arlion Monroe Morrison, was born July 8, 1954 in Columbus.  He attended Union Grove UMC, Smiths Station, AL and was an avid Alabama fan. Mr. Morrison was Co-Owner of Morrison Brothers Construction Company. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Wanda Morrison of Columbus; three daughters, Kristi Garner and son-in-law, Billy of Pine Mountain, GA.; Jessica Rose Morrison and Jacqueline Morrison, both of Columbus; mother, Rosie Morrison of Columbus; three sisters, Jean (Billy) Overby, Teresa Shaw, and Donna (Marty) Roy, all of Columbus; five brothers, Raymond Morrison, Tommy (Kathy) Morrison, Donnie (Debbie) Morrison, Mark (Michelle) Morrison, and Rusty (Bebe) Morrison, all of Columbus; two grandsons, William ÒWillÓ Garner and Jacob ÒJakeÓ Garner; numerous other relatives and friends.
