Jacob Nathaniel Cardona was born on December 23, 1994 in Stockton, California.

Jacob is survived by his mother Shennel Clark; brother Joseph Cardona Jr. and sister Selene Quintero. He leaves behind his great-grandmother Marion Montgomery. He also leaves his maternal grandparents Carl Sr. and Wanda Clark. Uncles Carl Jr. and Dion Clark and aunt Shante Clark. In addition, he leaves his great uncles Marvin Sr., Earl, Kermit, Clayton Jr., Kevin and Jerry and great aunt Linda along with a host of many cousins and close friends.

Jacob was known for his positive outlook on life, his sense of humor and his beautiful radiant smile. Jacob was a very passionate purpose driven individual and excelled at everything he endeavored to do. He loved watching and playing sports, especially basketball.

A MESSAGE FROM JACOB:

Do not continue to grieve for me because now I am free. I am following the path that God laid for me. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered JOY!

A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes, these things I too will miss.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, but please do not lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me PEACE!

To Jacob's family,
I want you to know how much Jacob was admired by everyone around him. I was his Honors Algebra 2 teacher when he was a sophomore and he touched my life. He worked so hard to make great grades with a smile on his face and encouraged everyone in the class to do the same. Unfortunately, I left Haltom the next year and lost track of him but his smile and attitude reminded me everyday of why I do this job. You raised a beautiful boy and my heart breaks for your loss. My prayers are with you for comfort and understanding.

Jay, every morning you would meet me at the buff store an we would talk about different things an order the normal. Your grandma cookies & tea and I would always get hot chips and a tea . I can remember it like it was yesterday I was so upset for some reason and you stopped me and said " everything is temporary just keep your head up Curly " I remember you posting a tweet saying " Always grateful for what I got " and you simply inspired me ! Still to this day, it still hasn't sunk in that you're gone. Maaaaannn jacob you were the chillest one out of the haltom group of guys. Always positive and relaxed. Any advice or problems I had I'd come to you and you'd give me your most honest and helpful feedback. I remember the laughs we had at work and how you'd tell me I was crazy at times. Jacob was there for me and everyone else I knew, always. It didn't take long for you to be around him and realize how kind and big hearted he was. When I think of him all I remember is his positivity he had for not only himself but spread to everyone around him no matter what the situation was.
