Though I didn't know Jacob personally I have met his parents and brother and my heart is heavy for the tremendous loss they are facing right now. Im a friend and former co-worker of Jakes mom, Jenn. It saddens me that I never had the honor of meeting Jake. After watching todays memorial service, its abundantly obvious what a special young man Jake was and how many lives he touched with his kindness, compassion, humor and presence. Jenn, Steve and Owen, words cant adequately express how incredibly sorry I am for you all and your extended family. Jake was one of the most absolutely stunning people I got to meet in my whole life. Though I only knew him for approximately two years, the impact he made on me is one I won't forget anytime soon. Jake and I enjoyed exploring the world around us, and we both enjoyed riding the local Metro system. There's so much good I can say about Jake that I could speak about him for hours. R.I.P. old friend, you will be missed.
