Ginny, Joel, Jay, and Julie: Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. We love you all. Unfortunately Hoss and I are unable to get off work to make it to the funeral, but hopefully we will be able to come home soon and visit all of you. We miss you all and think of you often.

Though I had not seen Jake often in the last years, and only met you once, Virginia; do want to say my thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time and as you journey through life without Jake. Lovingly, Mary Joan (Halvorson) Chalcraft

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jake was a very influential part of my life growing up. My cowboy hero so to speak. I will always cherish my memories of visiting with him and hearing his stories about how Almont was back in the day. I will never forget hunting with him when I was younger. Thinking of you all.

You two were always my link to my dad and grandpa's ties ... so many happy and fond memories of Almont. I will always be thankful for Jake's visit with my Mom during her final days at...

Dear Ginny and family,
We are so sorry to hear of Jakes passing. We have great memories of him proudly showing us around your beautiful ranch.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families. Jake was always good to me and the kids and we will miss his stories and his cowboy ways. He was a great man who always will be remembered.
