Not sure what to say?

Dr Lemann was the consummate academic physician. He profoundly influenced my career, first as a resident in internal medicine and later as an academic colleague. He left a mark on MCW that will endure for decades.

Dear Mary and family, we were so saddened to hear of Jack's passing and are very sorry for your loss. He was a special man and we send our love to his special family.

Dear Mary and family:
Our children and we are shocked about what happened. We will miss Dr. Lemann as he is not only a great scientist doctor but also a person with passions. For many years, we have all benefited from his guidance and suggestions, and above all your friendship. We hope that you take care of yourselves and keep in touch.

Dr. Lemann (Jack, Pops or Popper to me) will live on in my heart as a warm, kind, and generous father figure. With eyes that twinkled and crinkled up when he smiled, he always asked great questions and listened to the responses. "What's fresh, honey?" The pain in my heart from his passing.

There isn't a day that goes by that lessions I learned from Dr. Lemann, as an attending physician, aren't part of my practice. His influence and demeanor will always be with me.

To the Lemann Family:

May your memories of joy and love bring you peace during this difficult time.

Cindy Huber, National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin

Dear Lemann Family,
It was a great privilege to have known and worked with Jack. He was an outstanding example of a physician who was an excellent scientist, who inspired his students and colleagues, and cared deeply about his patients. He was also a loyal friend, and he will be greatly missed.

Our sadness is profound. Jack was a husband, father, scientist, physician, friend. His intellect and compassion were matched only by his sense of humor. Our lives have been immeasurably enriched by his presence. Our deepest sympathy and love to his family.

Dear Mrs. Lemann and family,
Nolan and I are so sadden by the news of Dr. Lemann's passing. He was such a wonderful man and I enjoyed working with him for many years. He held a special place in my heart. It was an honor to know him and he will be greatly missed.
