Seventeen years today, it feels like we never even got to know the real you.

Sixteen years without you, your smile follows me everywhere, I wish I could see it one more time.

It´ll be 15 years without you in a few days, life moves on but I can´t help but stay fixated on losing you.

Jake will be missed so much. He was a fine young man.

To PFC Straws family: Straw was a great soldier from the start. He listened carefully to any advice anyone had for him, all so he could better himself and help his fellow comrades. He had more leadership skills than anyone in our platoon with as little expirience as he did. Surely he would have done great things as an EOD, being as intelligent as he was. It pains me to find that he is no longer here. I am deeply sorry, and I hope the best for you all. ...
