It´ll be 15 years without you in a few days, life moves on but I can´t help but stay fixated on losing you.

To PFC Straws family: Straw was a great soldier from the start. He listened carefully to any advice anyone had for him, all so he could better himself and help his fellow comrades. He had more leadership skills than anyone in our platoon with as little expirience as he did. Surely he would have done great things as an EOD, being as intelligent as he was. It pains me to find that he is no longer here. I am deeply sorry, and I hope the best for you all. Sincerely, PVT Dustin Gerhardson

To the Straw Family;
Please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of Jacob. Such a young age to leave, but God needed his Angel home with him. May Andrew be your Guardian Angel until you meet again.
Thank you for having a son who put others first and fought for our freedom.
God Bless each of you during this difficult time.
