For my sister, Jacquie. Wishing you a Happy Birthday in Heaven. It is the first birthday that I didn't get to hear your voice, hear that laugh and feel your love. I think of you often and miss you lots. I am so thankful that I have lots and lots of memories. From when we were kids playing on the stoop when we lived in New York right up to my yearly visits to see you in FL. I will cherish them always.

Although I still have sisters, I no longer have "my" big sister. : (

All my love to you

~Phyllis

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it's the memories of you that are the most precious.
