Jacqueline Reese Obituary
Jackie graduated from Frederick High School in 1945, and in 1948, she along with eleven other young women, graduated from Frederick City Hospital School of Nursing. Although she worked at several jobs including private duty nursing, she spent most of her career in industrial nursing at Procter and Gamble. When her husband became very ill, she was blessed to have good friends step in to help her and they continued until her death. The most faithful friend and loving caretaker was Pat Boniarski. Pat and her husband, fondly known as "Ski", were a true blessing for Jackie. Jackie did not have children of her own, but she was "adopted " by Pat and Ski and their family and was called "mom" and "grandma", titles that made her happy. Jackie's second caring family were her caretakers at Brightview Assisted Living. They arranged parties for her, gave her gifts, and helped take care of her aged cat.
Jackie was preceded in death by her brothers; Thomas C. Michael, Mantz K. Michael, Robert C. Michael and Ronnie E. Engle. She was also preceded by sister-in-law, Grace Michael and beloved step father, Irving L. Engle. She is survived by sisters-in-law; Dottie Engle of Middletown, Janet Michael of Frederick, and Jane Michael of Walkersville. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and their families.
A visitation for Jacqueline will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home, 9705 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236, on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM; where a Funeral Service will take place at 6PM.
A graveside service will take place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD, at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 10.
In lieu of flowers, Jackie requested that donations be made to: Lucky Cat Rescue, PO Box 3593, Baltimore, MD 21214, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105.
