Jacqueline Slaughter Obituary

JACQUELINE SLAUGHTER 07/22/1933 ~ 06/09/2009 Jackie Slaughter of Riverside, passed away peacefully at Kaiser Riverside with her family and friends beside her. Jackie and her husband, Bob, long-time residents of Norco/Riverside owned and successfully operated Corona Dee Gee for many years. Their ventures then carried them into a successful career in commercial real estate. Jackie enjoyed world travel with close friends, being involved in the Free Methodist Church, spending time with her granddaughters, and listening to Dean Martin. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of more than fifty years, Robert; her son, Bobby and is survived by her daughter, Christy and her husband, David; 4 granddaughters, Suzanne, Jennifer, Vanessa and Rebekah and was looking forward to the birth of her first great-grandchild. Services will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00am at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park, Riverside. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Free Methodist Church of Riverside, 8431 Diana Avenue, Riverside, CA 92504. Christie, Dave, Suzanne, Jennifer, Vanessa, and Rebekah,

My Aunt Jackie was like an angel to me. From the time I was a tot, she showed me heaven on earth and how fun life could be. Her happiness was contagious. She and Uncle Bob were so good together. She and my father (her brother) were so very close. She was an extremely generous person and helped our familiy in so many ways so many times. I have fantastic memories of spending weekends in Norco with my Aunt, Uncle, and two wonderful cousins. The magic of those moments lives on in my memories as does my vision of my beautiful, vivacious, and always welcoming aunt.

Cousin Christy. I am sorry for your Family"s loss. I regret that I wasn't able to be at the funeral. She was a beautiful person and very kind to our family. We will miss her.

All my prayers are with you. She will be deeply missed but always remembered. I still have a GREAT memory of her giving me my very first check($1.00) written by her for helping with something. My mom Marinell saved it in an album. I think of you and your family quite often.
