Jacquelyn Anderson Obituary

Jacquelyn Louise Lunt Anderson

BOSSIER CITY, LA-Jacquelyn Louise Lunt Anderson passed away November 5, 2012 at LSUHSC at the age of 72. Jacquelyn was born in Shreveport, LA on October 11, 1940. She was taken too soon as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thurman Lunt and Annie Louise Mandozia Lunt; and her sister Mary Ann Snider Kleva. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clifford Anderson; her sons Steven and Paul Anderson; her daughters-in-law Priscilla and Ashley Anderson; granddaughter Bridget Anderson; and her brother Joseph Thurman Lunt, Jr. All are residents of Shreveport and Bossier City, LA. Additionally, she leaves behind her dear friends, and several precious nieces and nephews in Louisiana, California, Colorado, New Jersey and Missouri.

Jacquelyn graduated from Byrd High School in 1958. She married the following year and due to Clifford's 24 years in the Air Force, lived in New Mexico, Michigan, Utah, and Puerto Rico. She enjoyed a 20-year career in civil service and many of those years were spent in contracting at Barksdale Air Force Base. Jacquelyn was proud of the friendships she forged there and has fostered them throughout her retirement since 2000. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and taking month long road trips almost every Fall. She cherished her memories of travel to London to visit her eldest son, Steven who was stationed there with the Air Force in 1984, and then again to see her youngest son, Paul who was a foreign exchange student in 1987. Late in life, her joy was centered in her family, especially spending time with her granddaughter, Bridget whom she adored. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends who will never forget her wry sense of humor, generous spirit and the love and devotion she showered on her family.

Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, November 9, 2012 from 5pm - 7pm at the Rose-Neath Southside and services will be held at 12pm on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, along side the resting place of her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that monetary donations be made to the Salvation Army.
