Jackie was first class! I am deeply sorry to hear of her passing. I first met Jackie back in the mid 1970's when my Mother, Vivian Roth, was transferred to Clara Barton Elementary School in Long Beach to teach 4th grade. Later in 1975, I was fresh out of Wilson High School and was seeking a teacher's aide position at the school. How sad to ready of your loss of Jackie. I so adored working with both of you off and on when I was doing the Newspaper in Education program at the Press-Telegram - a day or two ago!
