Not sure what to say?

Dearest Patrice,

I have learned that Jacques died last month. I am so, so sorry. He was a beautiful man. You had 30 years together, but I know for you it was not enough - and of course it was not.

I had not planned to be in Santa Fe in January, but if you tell me your dates I will come and hope to see you. I would like you to see the new guesthouse we have built. Should you return to Santa Fe all your friends would welcome you.

Please extend my condolences to...

Years of memories from La Fonda to Old Santa Fe Trail and to Dixon and back. I will always love you. Your Santa Fe sister, Selba Campbell

It is with great sadness that I read of Jacques' passing. I will always remember his great laugh, generous spirit, insightful conversation and his love for Patrice. We had fun meeting at Patrick Smith Park and walking our small dogs in the snow. You will be missed by all. I will keep you in my heart, Patrice.

Our thoughts are with Patrice, and dear friends and family of Jacques. Some of us had great hair dos, many of us have fond memories of Jacques and Patrice and all of us from ASSISTANCE DOGS OF THE WEST will cherish our memories.

Jacques, Patrice, Andy, Sam and Laura - Washington D.C. 9/21/2004

We have so many memories of our dear friend Jacques. The opening of the Museum of the American Indian in Washington D.C. in September 2004 was a wonderful day for all of us. We are thinking of you Patrice and sending our love, Mary and Jeff

It was so sad to read of Jacques passing, but I am happy that he and Patrice made it back to France. I started going to him when he was at La Fonda. Jacques was a true artist, and a lovely and loving, giving man. Just to see him made you feel better about yourself.
