Dear Louise, You probably don't remember me, but I was acquainted with all of your family. I remember vaguely going to a bus trip to SLC with a bunch of kids and you and I were on that trip. We were saddened to hear of Jake's passing. Wished we could have attended the funeral but we were in Arkansas. He was kind to everyone and a very good example of Christlike living. We remember hearing him say to someone about their children: "You have a nice family and there isn't a slacker among them." That is how we feel about your family--all 13 children are wonderful and there isn't a slacker among them. We pray that the pleasant memories you have of Jake...

Mary Louise, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you must be without your eternal companion for a time. Jake was a great cousin and a great example to me. I hope that we can keep in touch and that you can find comfort with all the great memories of a great life together. You have a wonderful posterity. I enjoyed so much getting to know them better when we came to Snowflake for Jake's funeral.
