I am so sorry that i did not know Dr. Holcombe had passed. I asked the
Nurse Practitioner about him last Monday and she told me. I should check the obituaries daily. His care was outstanding and I appreciate the care he gave Bill and me. My deepest sympathy to you and Renee.

Dear Mrs. Holcombe and Renee, I just found out today that Jake had passed. He was one of the best doctors ever. So happy for all the wonderful memories of the hikes, skiing, and fall leaf color excursions in the mountains as well as the best medical care for over 40+ years. He will be missed but not forgotten.

My first memory of Jake was around 1959 or '60 when he came into Hugh Bailey Jewelry in Liberty to buy an engagement ring. I think he must have been very new to the community at that time. He became a fine doctor loved by many in Pickens County. He will be missed.

Carolyn and Renee - Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to you in Jake's passing. We loved him both as a special friend/brother of Lou and brother-in-law to Gordon, and as our family doctor for a period of time. Your family was very special to us. Jake was compassionate about his calling. He will be missed by many. You will be kept in our thoughts and prayers.
