I think about Jim a lot. He might have been the smartest person I´ve ever met and always treated me like a daughter. All I can say is I´m very grateful he came to visit me when he came west a few years ago. He promised he´d be back and his last words were I love you Liz. He´s always treated me as close as family. He was the “Ack-Man” in those days, or simply just “Ack.” He was the hobo harlequin who showed up at the dingy rented cottage a couple blocks from the U of O in Eugene. I’m so sorry that Jim died. I have so many memories from back then. I’m so glad we had a long lunch with him 2 years ago and we caught up on everything. My condolences to his family.
