James Bowie

My deepest sympathy goes out to Jim's family. I had great respect for Jim as he was a man of high moral principles and a patriot.

Jim was often asked to offer the opening prayer at various political events that I attended. Jim's prayers were remarkable, and wonderful. I told him so on more than one occasion. He was easy to approach, and had a gentle spirit. I will miss him, and I know a lot of others will too.

To Kim and the Bowie family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all in this time. God be with you and comfort you.
