His focused devotion and commitment to the Inshore Undersea Warfare Program was the inspiration and source of satisfaction to IUW units nationwide. Dear family- Jim was a dear friend and classmate. We spent many years in Camp Hill together sharing school and social activities. He will always be a part of my happy childhood memories! He will be missed. Love and blessings, Ardella Campbell-Darlington

A role model for every naval officer fortunate to come into his orbit. A loyal friend with a genius for guiding subordinates with wisdom and humor. A brave man who endured some terrific challenges, including cancer, and overcame it all. Thank you Jim. Your passing leaves us poorer. Bobbie and I miss you but you remain in our hearts and prayers.

Please accept my sincere sympathies. May God's holy spirit or active force, equip you with the " power beyond what is normal " to go from one day to the next. ( 2 Corinthians 4 : 7 ) Remember : God can help his faithful servants to endure any and every problem they may face.

To the family of Mr Brooke i send my sincerest condolences. May u find comfort and support among dear friends. -Proverbs 17:17

Jim was a special friend and a longtime colleague in the Naval Order of the United States, to which he made invaluable contributions of time, effort, advice, and friendship. He will be long remembered for his dedication to the naval heritage of the Sea Services.
