On October 13, 2004, in Fairfax Nursing Center, JAMES A. CHARNLEY. Beloved husband of Shirlee Snow Charnley; loving father of Cathy Charnley, James Charnley, Jr. and his wife Nina, Martha Ilgenfritz and her husband Fred, Virginia Manzione and her husband Tony, Susan Charnley and her life partner Cindy Finkle and the late Mary Charnley; dear brother of Morton Charnley, Jr.; cherished grandfather of nine. The family will receive friends at EVERLY FUNERAL HOME, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA on Saturday, October 16 from 6 to 8 p.m., where a memorial service will be held Sunday, October 17 at 2:30 p.m. Inurnment at a later date in Fairfax City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 123 Park St., SE, Vienna, VA 22180.
