Marilyn and family, I wish to send my sincerest condolences of the passing of James. I apologize for not being able to attend the funeral but had medicals issues of my own and could not travel. I do want to honor my friend James by remembering just what he meant to me. After serving together at the Naval hospital , Portsmouth, Va., I eventually moved to Beaufort where James introduced me to a whole new lifestyle of which I became accustomed. James Cooler was a wonderful person. He loved Beaufort and he and his beautiful wife collected many historical artifacts and treasures. James was kind, generous and fun. Our hearts go out to Marilyn and family.

Knew James and the family for many years. Really, my father´s family was from Hardeeville and his from Ridgeland and they were cousins. James was always smiling. May he Rest In Peace.
