I learned of Jim's death from his brother John, a partner on the MPD. Losing a sibling is one of life's dreaded losses. So sorry for his family. God Bless each of you.

James "Jim" Michael Dandoy Glendale - Jim passed away peacefully with family at his side on 01-25-21 after a courageous battle with Covid-19. A frugal man with many quirks and hilarious original one-liners, the "gentle giant" brought a smile and laugh to the faces of those whom he knew. As a 17yo...

I worked with Jim for many years at GPD. I enjoyed his company and dry sense of humor. We played many dart games at the Green 7, after working 2nd shift. What a guy! My condolences to his brother John, sons, and grandchildren. Respectfully, Jeff Nelson

I was both surprised and saddened to learn of Jim's passing. We had exchanged emails around Jan 20th when I learned of his testing positive for Covid19. At that time, he said he did not have symptoms. Jim and I go way back to grade school at St Seb's, hanging out on Vliet St, Washington Park & P's house, card playing, fishing etc. Many great memories. My deepest sympathies to John and the rest of Jim's family and friends.

I first met Jim in the early 70s when he worked with my dad at the GPD. A couple of my sisters babysat for his kids later. When I joined the GPD Auxiliary in the late 80s I got an opportunity to see him in action and hear about the interesting cases he was working. It was always fun running in to him at the Greeny. Fun times. He will be missed.

Jim lived down the street from me while we were in grade school. Really enjoyed seeing him at school reunion get togethers. I recently moved back from the west coast and was looking forward to our next post-covid reunion. A sad loss.

John, I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. You both were great guys as we were growing up. We grew up in a great neighborhood and I am still living there in the Mitten house down the block from where you lived as kids. Jim sure sounds like a great guy. Peace be with you Jim and my deepest sympathy to you and your family.

My condolences to the entire Dandoy family. I grew up with Jim and John in the old Washington Park neighborhood. We had many good times back in the good old days. After serving in the military Jim joined the Glendale PD and John and I joined the Milwaukee PD. When I was a Detective I worked on many cases with Jim. He was always a true professional and just as important a real fun guy to associate with. He will be missed. Rest In Peace. Blessed are the Peacemakers. Bill and Sandie Blumenberg

Jim was the roommate to my husband Bob Sasson when I met him. He and Susie weren't married yet but spent all their time together. I love them both dearly and still think about all the fun we had together. I am so sorry for your family, he is gone to soon.
