Jim and I were members of the CMU Marching Band in 1967. We got back together again in 2002 when we started working together doing pit orchestras for Tawas Bay Players and Shoreline Players of Oscoda. We were also part of Soundwaves Jazz Orchestra, Jim Sapp´s Shoreline Jazz Ensemble, The Old Time Connection and Fusion Trio. Jim was a very special person and will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to be his friend. He remembered me with generous amounts of beautiful vegetables from his garden which he also gave to many others. I was fortunate to play music with Jim in various groups and venues over the years.
