JAMES GREGERSON Obituary

James Scott Gregerson 1951 ~ 2011 James Scott Gregerson left us unexpectedly on March 2, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada. His unconditional love, compassion, ability to listen and mischievous side-smile will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. He was born to James and "Rae" Gregerson on October 21, 1951, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Ann Mecham, they had two children and later divorced. He married Jan Casey Spencer on Feb. 14, 1992. Scott is survived by his wife Jan, daughter Jessie (Brian) Powers, son John Gregerson, sister Rebecca (Ken) Montague, step children Joel, Jessica, Travis, Timaree Spencer and seven grandchildren. Scott worked as a master cabinet maker in Idaho Falls where he was also Elder's Quorum President and in the Bishopric in his L.D.S. faith. He owned his own carpet business in Tucson and worked for RC Willey in Las Vegas. He loved playing his guitar, singing, eating crab legs, having friends, loving his family and the game of golf. If there is golf in heaven - Scott is on the green! Services will be held March 9th in Las Vegas. Info and online condolences at Palmmortuary.mem.com

We had the opportunity to meet Scott through his position at R.C. Willey. It was a pleasure to work with such a nice man and a true professional. Our industry has suffered a huge loss.

Uncle Scott, you were always warm, hospitable and fun to be around whenever my family and I came to your house to visit. My thoughts are with Aunt Jan and your family as they, and indeed we all, cope with your passing. We'll miss ya, man!

Scott, as my older cousin, I remember growing up with you and looking up to you in all that you did. I also had a secret (o.k., maybe not so secret)crush on you when we were kids. I admired your knowledge and wordly maturity and I learned a great deal from you. Some of my fondest memories in growing up were of you playing the guitar and singing. Its so odd that the day that I heard you had passed away, the radio played the one song that I remember you singing all the time. I can't remember the name of the song but the lyrics included "even tho we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you honey" and it served as a reminder to me that you go on.
Jan and family, my heart goes out to all of you. I wish you peace and comfort during this very difficult time. My thoughts are with you. With much love,
Linda Waldron

Scott and I were great friends in High School and I will always have fond memories of that great smile and his easy going manner. Scott had the wonderful gift of making you feel better about yourself. My prayers and best wishes to family and loved ones.

I will miss Scott's great smile. He had a way of making you feel welcome and had a great sense of humor. I am sure that many will miss the wonderful times shared as we all worked together to make sales in his department. You will be missed Scott. God Bless you.
